Avonlea Minerals Limited is an Australian exploration company based in Perth, Western Australia.
Avonlea was formed by David Holden, an experienced Australian and international Geologist, Andrew Gastevich, a Chartered Accountant, and Roger Steinepreis, a Corporate Lawyer. All have over 20 years experience in their respective fields and are members of Public Company Boards.
The Company is targeting gold and base metals located in Central Queensland. It has acquired the Wentworth Project from Straits Gold Ltd for the issue of shares in the company.
The Wentworth Project is located approximately 300km southwest of MacKay. The Drummond Basin is a well known mineral province hosting several large gold mines including Kisdston, Pajingo, and Yandan.
Previous exploration has intersected epithermal-style veins with gold, silver and zinc mineralisation. The veins are open at depth and there appears to have been very little exploration within the remainder of the project area.
